Developments in the field of biobased performance materials are taking place at an unprecedented speed. On 27 June 2013, the third Biobased Performance Materials symposium will outline all the latest trends and developments. It will be a day packed with thought-provoking examples of present-day applications in the business sector and the food & non-food sectors, from major multinationals to small and medium-sized enterprises. Knowledge centres and universities will also present the current state of affairs in the area of scientific and applied research.

The first BPM Magazine: out now

In this magazine all the Biobased Performance Materials projects are highlighted. Jan Noordegraaf’s column gives an insight into the start-up of the BPM programme. The main article features the development of the bio-based chemistry in the last years. Furthermore the Biobased Economy programme director of the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Agriculture and Innovations (EL&I) Roel Bol gives his view on the bio-based ambition of the Dutch government. And on the last page Christiaan Bolck and Jacco van Haveren shine their light upon the call for new BPM initiatives.
