The Biobased Performance Materials (BPM) programme (coördinated by Wageningen University & Research) aims to develop high-quality materials based on biomass; materials that are increasingly applied in practice. BPM research focuses on two types of polymer materials: polymers produced by plants and polymers from biobased building blocks produced via biotechnology or chemical catalysis. The BPM programme is partly financed by the Dutch government of Economic Affairs (via the Top Sector Chemistry).
Magazine on BPM results
The first wave of projects in the successful BPM programme has been completed. The results of these nine projects are available online in the 2015 edition of the BPM Magazine. The earlier edition of the BPM Magazine (2011) can also be downloaded.
